After much reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to close down Bolsta Raffles and will no longer be offering our raffle fundraising services.

This decision wasn’t made lightly. From day one, our mission has been to make fundraising easier, fairer and more accessible for everyday Australians. We wanted to build a platform that removed the barriers - the admin, the stress, the upfront costs - so that families and communities could focus on what really matters: supporting their kids, their community organisations and their causes.

But despite our best efforts, we simply haven’t reached the level of participation needed to make the model sustainable. While the vision was strong, the reality is that we can no longer continue to personally fund and support the platform ourselves.

We’ve also come up against a challenge we couldn’t have anticipated fully - the widespread distrust many people have towards digital fundraising offerings. This hesitation, while completely understandable, has made it incredibly difficult for the model to grow in the way it needed to.
We’re proud of what we built and deeply grateful to those who believed in what we were trying to do. We’ve seen first-hand the impact Bolsta Raffles has had for families and organisations who jumped in and gave it a go - and those wins will always stay with us.
